The 4th Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival
OPEN CALL for Competition Entries
Started in 2004 in Hong Kong, Jumping Frames aims at facilitating the conversation between two established art forms, video and dance, and has become one of the biggest dance video festivals in Asia. To be held in October 2010, the 4th Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival comprises three major parts which show the versatility and the irresistible charm of this cross-genre art form: “Local Focus” features commissioned works, “International Dance Video Showcase” presents the best of dance videos around the globe, “International Dance Video Competition” calls for submission of works worldwide. Winners will be awarded cash prizes and winning works will be screened in the Festival and the touring programmes. Don’t miss the chance to show your talents!

International Dance Video Awards
Three outstanding works will each be awarded US$1,000
Awards for Emerging Chinese Dance Film-makers
To encourage the participation of Chinese artists, entries from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and mainland China are eligible to compete for Awards for Emerging Chinese Dance Film-makers. Winners will each be awarded HK$3,000
Entry Rules
- The entrant must be the sole copyright holder of the submitted video work, or must provide proof of rights to submit the work on behalf of the copyright holder.
- The entrant authorises the organiser to use the images and video clippings (less than 20% of total running length) of the submitted video work for promotional purpose, including but not limited to publicity materials, website and publications related to the competition.
- The entrant authorises the organiser the discretion and right to screen the submitted and selected works within a 24-month period from result announcement date.
- The entrant authorises the organiser the right to distribute his/her selected works to dance video festivals or other related events. The entrant will be notified in the situation of entrant’s work being screened, selected or awarded by such festivals or events.
- By submitting his/her entries, the entrant agrees to abide by the regulations of the competition.
- The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that contains incomplete or faulty information provided by the entrant.
- The organiser reserves the right of revising or changing the stated regulations and has the final decision on all issues not covered in the entry form.
Entry Form must be submitted by e-mail to info@ccdc.com.hk or by mail to City Contemporary Dance Company (Address: 11/F, 26-28 Tai Yau Street, San Po Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong) on or before 5 March 2010.
Submission Form, four still photos of the Video Work, One photo each of the director(s) and of the choreographer(s) and two copies of the video work (DV or DVD, PAL only) must be submitted to the above address on or before 28 June 2010. Please mark on the envelope "The 4th Jumping Frames International Dance Video Competition". Photos may be submitted separately via email with entry code quoted in subject line to info@ccdc.com.hk.
